This will stimulate saliva production, which washes away bacteria and delivers fortifying substances to your enamel. Saliva is your body’s first defense against tooth decay.
Mouthwash: Mouthwash, often called mouth rinse, can be a helpful addition to the dental hygiene routine of some. Be sure to choose antiseptic mouthwash. These will contribute to mouth health rather than simply freshening breath. Look for the American Dental Association’s Seal of Acceptance on the bottle. If you need to avoid alcohol, read labels carefully. Many mouthwashes contain alcohol. Do not give mouth rinse to children under the age of 6.
Drink Water: This is not only excellent for your overall health, but for your dental health too. It cleans the mouth, releasing it from food particles and debris. It can also clean up harmful acids. Fluoridated water is best, and is accessible to approximately 75% of Americans. Fluoride is a substance that fortifies and rebuilds tooth enamel.
